When it comes to Greece, and more specifically the islands…I hate to admit it, but I am a snob. I was fortunate enough to spend my summers on what I consider (yes, I am biased) the most beautiful island in the world, Samos. So, when we travel to new places, I have a very high bar with what I am comparing it to. Milos is one of those places that I truly cannot get out of my head. I have never seen such distinct and organic beauty in my life. It was one of those trips that stays with you forever. Milos felt untouched. It had some of the most dramatic beaches and rock formations I have ever seen, accompanied by the quintessential whitewashed villages, and a laid-back energy that makes Greece the magical place that it is. Milos stole my heart last Summer!
I am sharing all the things we did in the three days we spent in Milos that I highly recommend!
Day 1: Book the Boat
- I can’t recommend a full-day boat cruise around the island enough! Milos is best seen from the water, and you’ll hit unreal beaches like Kleftiko, where the cliffs and caves are straight out of a dream, amongst so many other gorgeous spots you can only access by boat! We booked our full day trip with Milos Adventures
- After a day at sea, head to Plaka for sunset. I love this town for its charming white wash streets with endless boutiques and cafes to pop into. Grab a drink at Utopia if you can. My favorite spot to watch the sunset.
Day 2: Beach Bliss & Fishing Village Strolls

- No trip to Milos is complete without a few hours at Sarakiniko Beach—that otherworldly white volcanic rock makes it one of the most unique beaches in Greece. Also and incredible spot to catch the sunset, this is a must!
- In the afternoon, explore Klima, a tiny fishing village that feels frozen in time. It is one of the most charming, beautiful little villages that just oozes Greece!
Day 3: Stay Vibes & Local Life
Where you stay depends on the experience you want. Adamas is the main port town—perfect for easy access to everything, with plenty of restaurants and cafes.
If you’re craving seclusion, Milos Cove is an architectural dream tucked into the cliffs. Just note: You’ll need a car to get around.
Milos stole my heart last summer; it was one of those trips that will stay with you forever. It felt so familiar to how I feel when I go back to Samos each Summer: kind, welcoming, familiar, and the type of beauty that is hard to put into words.
